Account Deletion Policy

1. Overview
This policy explains how users can delete their RedSpace account and what happens after deletion. RedSpace is for users aged 16 and over.
2. How to Delete Your Account
Where supported, users can delete their account from: Profile Settings → Account → Delete Account If this option is unavailable, users can request manual deletion by emailing: jaydongoulding1@gmail.com
3. What Deletion Should Remove
Account deletion should remove or disconnect:
- Profile information
- Username and bio
- Profile image
- Public posts
- Public comments
- Uploaded photos
- Account settings
- Public account presence
4. Information That May Be Retained
Some information may be retained where necessary for:
- Legal obligations
- Safety investigations
- Fraud prevention
- Abuse prevention
- Security logs
- Dispute handling
- Law enforcement requests
- Backup systems for a limited period
5. Direct Messages
Deletion may remove the deleted user’s account profile from direct messages, but messages already sent to other users may remain visible to conversation participants unless removed by RedSpace for safety, legal, or moderation reasons.
6. Reports and Moderation Records
Reports, enforcement records, and safety notes may be retained where needed to protect users, investigate abuse, prevent repeat violations, or comply with law.
7. Backups
Deleted information may remain in backup systems for a limited period before being overwritten or removed.
8. Manual Requests
When requesting deletion manually, include:
- Your RedSpace username
- The email or login method linked to the account, if any
- A clear statement that you want your account deleted
9. Verification
RedSpace may need to verify that the person requesting deletion controls the account before processing the request.
