Community Guidelines

1. Purpose
RedSpace is designed to be a social platform where people aged 16 and over can share, discover, talk, and connect safely. These Community Guidelines explain what is expected and what is not allowed.
2. Expected Behaviour
Users should:
- Be respectful
- Act in good faith
- Respect other people’s privacy
- Share only content they created or have rights to use
- Use reporting, blocking, and muting tools responsibly
- Avoid targeted abuse or pile-ons
- Follow the law
- Respect moderation decisions and safety processes
3. Harassment and Bullying
RedSpace does not allow harassment, bullying, stalking, intimidation, or targeted abuse. This includes:
- Repeated unwanted contact
- Threats or intimidation
- Coordinated attacks
- Mocking protected characteristics
- Encouraging others to harass someone
- Sharing personal details to cause harm
- Creating accounts to evade blocks
4. Hate and Abuse
RedSpace does not allow hateful, dehumanising, or discriminatory content targeting people based on protected or sensitive characteristics, including race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, or serious health condition.
5. Threats and Violence
RedSpace does not allow:
- Credible threats of violence
- Incitement to violence
- Praise or promotion of violent attacks
- Instructions for causing physical harm
- Graphic violent content shared to shock or glorify harm
6. Self-Harm and Suicide
RedSpace does not allow content that encourages, instructs, glorifies, or promotes suicide, self-harm, or dangerous eating disorder behaviour. Supportive recovery-focused discussion may be allowed where it does not provide instructions or encouragement.
7. Sexual Exploitation and Intimate Content
RedSpace does not allow:
- Child sexual abuse material
- Sexual exploitation
- Grooming
- Non-consensual intimate imagery
- Threats to share intimate images
- Sexual blackmail or sextortion
- Intimate content involving anyone under 18
8. Spam, Scams, and Deception
RedSpace does not allow:
- Spam
- Fake engagement
- Scam links
- Phishing
- Fraud
- Impersonation
- Misleading accounts
- Malicious links
- Platform manipulation
9. Privacy
Users must not share private personal information without permission. This may include:
- Home addresses
- Phone numbers
- Private emails
- Financial information
- Medical information
- Private messages
- Identification documents
- Location details intended to cause harm
10. Intellectual Property
Users should only upload or share content they own or have permission to use. RedSpace may remove content that appears to infringe copyright, trademarks, or other rights.
11. Illegal and Dangerous Activity
RedSpace does not allow content that promotes, coordinates, or provides instructions for dangerous illegal activity.
12. Reports and Safety Tools
Users can use reports, blocks, and mutes to protect their experience. Reports should be made in good faith. Abuse of reporting tools may lead to enforcement action.
13. Enforcement
RedSpace may take action including:
- Removing content
- Hiding reported material
- Restricting features
- Limiting visibility
- Suspending accounts
- Removing accounts
- Preserving records for safety or legal reasons
14. Appeals
Where RedSpace provides an appeal option, users may ask for a moderation decision to be reviewed. Appeals should explain why the user believes the decision was wrong.
15. Emergency
If someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services. In the UK, call 999.
